Large deco-era board/ card game entitled "Dig," nearly complete, full box from the 1950's. This game contains six colored 'picks' (plus an additional round one,) a large stack of paper 'calling cards,' a large stack of paper 'shares' and a large bin containing dozens of paper letter chips. The only pieces that appear to be missing are the 'gold bars' which the directions mention. This game seems to be an offshoot of Monopoly and even features the Monopoly mascot. Instructions for the game are printed on the inner side of the top lid.
This game is nearly complete, aside from the missing gold bars. The outer box has some deterioration to the corners and edges. There is also some sullying to the surface of the front cover. The inside condition is pretty good. The cards and letters are in clean, legible shape. The picks originally had a sticky substance used to pick the cards off the table. As a result, some of the inner paper has lifted after being stuck. Overall, this is a great set, ready to be played once again.
