Beautiful antique die-cut Valentine's Day card featuring two lovely Edwardian children dressed in their winter coats with fur muffs. The front of the card is made up on an elaborate combination of cut paper doily and lithographed flowers. The doily frame pops outward to create a wonderful 3D effect. Inside, there is a small love poem entitled "Cupid's Gift," and the back of the card is blank--aside from the faint remnants of a pencil-written inscription.
The card is in pretty good shape for its age and composition. There is some light foxing across the surface and some of the edges of the die-cut have deterioration. There are also some small fold lines and one or two breaks in the paper. The card is delicate and must be handled with care.
