Original Turn-of-the-Century card game, "Peter Coddle and His First Trip to New York--And What He Saw There," complete (or near complete) set. This antique game includes three large stacks of cards, an instruction manual and the original box. This was an incredibly popular game during the last decades of the Victorian era, and country bumpkin, Peter Coddle, became a pop culture icon.
This piece is in rough shape, but it looks to be complete. The outer box has broken along two sides, with deterioration to the other two. There is also quite a bit of sullying, most likely from it being handled and played often. The original instruction booklet is included, but in delicate shape.
