For sale, the cardboard top to a large box of Adams' Sappota Tolu Chewing Gum produced by Adams and Sons, New York during the turn of the century. Although separated by its original base, this box lid is beautiful, well preserved and a beautiful example of early chewing gum ephemera. On the reverse side--once the inside lid of the box--there is a gorgeous illustration of a well-dressed woman of the time framed by, what was originally a gold embossed border and the shattered remnants of decorative ruched silk.
