Vintage 1952 Au Mouton de Panurge French supper club menu illustrated with illustrations by Rabelais illustrator Albert Dubout. This was a famous raunchy, themed restaurant in 1950's Paris which was incredibly popular and frequented by many notables and celebrities of the time. Printed for the evening of April 21, 1952, the menu is eight pages, front and back and contains a wine list, dinner menu, glossary and list of songs to be sung that night. The back of the piece is printed with the signatures of many famous patrons, including: Jean Cocteau, Orson Welles, Mistinguett, Errol Flynn, Rita Hayworth, Lily Pons and Edith Piaf. A wonderful novelty piece illustrating French culture and nightlife during the mid century.
