Complete collection of 48 collected chromolithographed and embossed promotional cards. This set also contains the full eight card set of Luigi Loir's paintings of Paris. These cards were originally created as collectable premiums inside of Lefevre Utile biscuit boxes in France. Portraits of French celebrities, artists, and notables such as Eugenie Segond-Weber, Jane Hading, Lucienne Breval, Anatole France, Lucius Rossi, Albert Guillaume, and Francois Coppee--among many others--are represented at the bottom of each card.
Each card has been tipped into the highly decorated pages illustrated in the Art Nouveau style, popular at the time. This highly decorative book is in excellent condition, with its original cord binding still intact. All pages and individual cards are also clean, clear, and unblemished.
