Offsite Corporate Events: Renting a Space For Your Next Business Meeting

Finding a Corporate Meeting Venue in San Francisco

Business meetings, training seminars, and other corporate events don’t have to be boring, particularly if you choose your event space carefully. In fact, with a bit of ingenuity, you can design a business gathering that is both productive and memorable.

The key is to break from the ordinary routine. Get your employees in new surroundings to help stimulate their interest and their creativity. Holding your company’s annual training seminars or quarterly business meetings offsite can be a terrific way to breathe new life into the same old same old.

And the good news is that you don’t have to bust the company budget to do it. The San Francisco Bay area, for example, is home to a rich and fascinating history. It is populated with some of the most scenic and storied locales in the world.

In fact, one of San Francisco’s oldest and most illustrious landmarks survives today as a refurbished three story event venue open for hourly rentals and designed to accommodate a range of corporate events and meetings. The Box SF was constructed in 1926 and is the former site of publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst’s printing plant.

27 years ago the current owner lovingly restored to its original grandeur and today features all the historic charm of early 20th century San Francisco without sacrificing any of the high-tech amenities guests have come to expect.

The Box SF’s magnificent third floor, for instance, boasts a spacious main event area that may be configured to serve a host of purposes, while the adjoining Gate Room may be used as a meeting space or formal banquet and dining hall, and boasts the largest/oldest Dining and Meeting Table in the United States.

Both the Gate Room and the main room are available for day or evening rental, meaning that no matter what your particular corporate event needs, the third floor of The Box SF can accommodate them–and in historic loft-like style!

Rental Space for Corporate Offsite Meetings

When you are operating a business, you know all too well how important it is to build–and maintain–strong relationships with your employees. This means taking the time to get them off campus and into new and inspiring environments. Periodically taking your team offsite, though, isn’t necessarily going to be sufficient to produce the kinds of results, whether in regard to employee performance or engagement, that you want.

Rather, you need an event environment that is at once functional, adaptive, and inspiring. And, when it comes to rental spaces in the Bay Area, perhaps no corporate event venue fits that bill better than The Box SF.

The third floor main room, for instance, may be rented in 8 hour blocks to accommodate small group training sessions or large seminars, talks, luncheons and presentations.

The expert staff at The Box SF will furnish your meeting space to your precise requirements, including theater seating or classroom-type configurations. Similarly, the Gate Room, which adjoins the main room and may be rented for the day or evening 7 days a week, is ideal both for business meetings and for formal corporate dinners and banquets. Clients get the entire top floor for their even which adds great flexibility to how your event can flow!

The Gate Room is home to a 337-year old dining and conference table for which it is named. The table is constructed from an ancient Chinese village gate doors and is one of the most iconic examples of antique furnishings to be found in the San Francisco Bay Area today. It seats 32 guests and the Gate Room seats 50.

Small and Mid-Sized Corporate Events

When you are hosting a corporate event, it’s not just the physical space that matters. It’s also the amenities provided. With The Box SF, you have a range of options to outfit your gathering according to your requirements.

For instance, every room in The Box SF building is outfitted with the latest technology, including secure, high speed internet access. Many of our spaces, including the main room of the third floor, feature theater seating options, projectors and projection screens, flat screen options, and related multimedia technologies to serve all of your needs, whether you’re hosting a guest speaker, delivering a video presentation, live streaming your event, video conferencing, or anything in between.

In addition to the tech amenities provided in each of The Box SF’s third floor rental spaces, the main floor and Gate Room also may be used for dining and banqueting. The space features fully-stocked bar packages and multiple preferred catering options. The staff of The Box SF regularly tastes with and works with each catering company to insure flavorful and plentiful food options. You may also elect to work with your own catering company through our guest services team.
