Beautiful antique mechanical Valentine featuring a young playing an upright piano. The mechanical function of the piece allows the girl's head/ eyes to move back and forth while her hands tap on the piano keys. This Valentine is in good sturdy condition with only a few flaws to speak of. There is a noticeable crease across the girl's neck where it was folded over itself at one point. The corners/ edges of the piece also have some damage due to age and improper storage. There is a small pencil written inscription on the back of the card which is faintly visible. The original stand is also still sturdy and functional and is attached to the bottom of the piece.
The sentiment on the front reads:
"Valentine's Song: When I play the piano I'm thinking of thee. And the piece that I like best is love's melody."
