"Umbrella" Brand pencil box manufactured around the 1910's-1920's by H. Asai, Pencil Works out of Japan. This listing is for the box/ packaging only, the original products have been lost to time. This box is in fair condition overall. The corners and edges of the piece are delicate and several sections have deteriorated. There is a section of the top corner lid which has fallen off which is still contained inside of the package. The illustrated label of a Japanese factory on the cover is in bright, vibrant and intact condition and looks beautiful when displayed. Overall, a beautiful example of early twentieth-century asian inspired/ produced packaging.
