Antique early century 'Views of the 1903 Kansas City Flood' photo book released by The Thompson & Slaughter Co. This twenty-eight page book contains twenty-six full page black and white photographs of this incredibly destructive and devastating flood which wreaked havoc on the American city of Kansas City, Missouri during the turn of the century. Pages contain detailed photos of the destruction, including dead livestock, destroyed city blocks and flooded streets.

The book is in fair to good condition for its age. There is some staining and deterioration to the front cover--as well as a tear to the top right corner--, particularly around the spine where the covers have begun to split. Inside, many of the pages are stained or bent, but the piece remains complete. The cover of the book has a wonderful Art Nouveau logo which incorporates two sharp toothed orange fish into the design.
